We all love desserts, and it is no secret that biting into our favorite sweet treats somehow makes us incredibly happy. Desserts make us feel like we are in heaven! In that sense, BIG Cookie is a business dedicated to selling gourmet pastries with the highest quality ingredients. The flavor of their sweets is unique, all their products are prepared by hand and they don’t use added preservatives in any product!
But that’s not all! They also change the menu constantly and make sure to include special editions and different desserts each season. The business is characterized because everything they sell is big! All their products include lots of filling and are prepared with the best ingredients in the market. In addition, everything at BIG Cookie is delicious! They really focus on details and try to take care of everything so their clients are always satisfied and happy.
The head behind this successful business is Alison Jeitani. As she tells it, it all started in October, 2019. She had finished her career as an industrial designer and did not know what to work on. Before finishing university she had started a sportswear business, which is still going strong but with many delays and complications. So, Alison decided it was time to try something different.
“I had always had the talent of cooking and I made delicious cookies that everyone told me to sell. One day I decided to gather family and friends to try my cookies, doing a cookie tasting in which 160 cookies of 27 different flavors were baked in a home oven. That’s how it all started. That same day the first order came out and everything really started to flow. And that’s how BIG Cookie was born”, she explains.
The business manages to stand out from the crowd because of the high quality of their products. All of them are handmade and have an exact weight so that there are no variations between two identical products. Their sweets are delicious, and they don’t change recipes! Neither do they reduce the grammage to save costs, customers pay just enough for the product they are taking. What’s more, everything is fresh and they don’t resell or sell frozen products!
But of course, not everything has been easy on Alison’s path. Quite the opposite. She has had to deal with all the challenges that come with starting a new business, such as dealing with fear, uncertainty and the doubts of starting from scratch. She also had to learn to say “no”, to calculate the costs and above all, to respect her time and her work.
“This is not a game, this is BIG Cookie! Even when there’s a lot of competition outside, I’m making my business work through social networks, hard work, love and bazaars. Although I am not where I want to be yet, I’m very proud of my achievements. With the love and support of all the people who have always been, I have built a small company that fortunately is doing very well!”, Alison adds.
BIG Cookie has already worked with large companies such as Mercedes Benz México, Takasago de México and DATIO, which shows Alison that no dream is unattainable. For her, success is being able to achieve all her goals, having stability and knowing that her business is successful and that it is working. Also, it means being independent, knowing that all her customers are very happy with BIG Cookie products and making people smile!

She is stepping into 2023 with big goals and aspirations, as she describes them below:
“My next project is to open a cafeteria or a store. I also want to grow my two projects, BIG Cookie and the sportswear line, and make them both star products. In the same way, I would like to distribute my product in stores; stores that really value what the product offers and are willing to sell it in compliance with our quality and freshness standards. The biggest goal I have is to globalize my brand, in both cases.”
