Maria Belem is a Young Activist Dedicated To Spreading Information About “The Way To Happiness” and “The Truth About Drugs”

Maria Belem is a young activist who went through a powerful and painful experience that changed her life and at the same time left her with a very important mission not only for herself but also for the people around her and even for the rest of the world.

Maria’s parents were a couple of exemplary and recognized people in their community of Navojoa, Sonora. They dedicated their life to working for the good of their community and created important works that benefitted many people.

Her parents, Lorena Martinez and Eduardo Duarte, devoted time to the construction of churches and educational campaigns on human rights, The Truth About Drugs and The Way to Happiness.

Unfortunately, earlier this year, Maria’s parents lost their life after a person driving under the influence crashed into them. This left her not only with a great emptiness, but also with a mission.

“My mission is to spread information to people about the harmful effects of drugs, and alcohol and I do this by sharing the resources found in The Way to Happiness and The Way to Happiness.” Maria says.

The Way to Happiness is a book cataloged as a moral code focused exclusively on common sense. It was published in 1981, and its objective is to help stop the current moral decadence in society and restore integrity and confidence to humans.

The Guinness World Records organization awarded The Way to Happiness a prize for being the most translated non-religious book in the world. The book was written by L. Ron Hubbard, and “it fills the moral void in a society that is increasingly materialistic. It contains twenty-one basic principles that guide people towards a better quality of life.”

The Way to Happiness book contemplates a series of programs applicable to different areas or jobs in society such as Programs for correctional experts; educators; businesses; police programs; crisis areas; governments; parents; and for teenagers.

On the other hand, the Truth About Drugs is a non-profit foundation whose objective is to raise awareness and educate people about a Drug-Free World. The foundation provides young people and adults with fact-based information about drugs so that people can make informed decisions and live a drug-free life.

Through the Truth About Drugs campaigns, activities are carried out that people can take part in to encourage drug-free living. They are simple, effective activities that people of all ages can participate in.

Through a global network of volunteers, they have successfully distributed 56 million educational brochures and conducted tens of thousands of drug awareness events in more than 120 countries.

These materials and activities have helped people around the world learn about the destructive effects of drugs and make the decision not to use them. Some of the people that took part in disseminating these resources were Maria through her parents.

Now Maria is dedicating herself to further spreading these materials. If you want to know more click here.
